...there is life after Honk! Fest. It involves resisting the urge to dance to the sound of brass bands playing in my head. I'm back from Honk! Fest

It was an amazing experience.  We performed 3 times in 2 days (two 1-hour sets and a parade of ~2 miles), danced the nights away (and surely suffered partial hearing loss) at late-night jams, mingled/listened to/played with lots of the other fun bands.  Honk! brought together 25 bands from all over the US and even from other ( Read more... )

Our band was chosen as part of Great Eight 2008 in the News & Observer!  This is an annual feature that highlights local musical acts to watch during the year.  Needless to say, we were a unique member of the line-up.  As part of the feature they created this video of our band.

Last weekend our marching band was in the Durham Holiday Parade, and I added several more blocks in downtown Durham to places where I have walked right down the middle of the street.  We participated together with the Scrap Exchange, which was fun because some people created crazy costumes right before the parade.
